A Little Water Never Hurt Anyone
But alot of water can result in an amazing time! Such was the case yesterday at McCarren Pool for the Sunday Pool Parties. It was a time to bond with our new roommate Pamela, who wasted no time joining Holly on the slip and slide. They really didn't need a hose to water it down due to the torrential downpour, but we all had a blast nonetheless. Some of my favorite times in NYC involve getting caught in the rain. I guess there are two ways to look at the situation, either whine like a baby and complain, or accept it and enjoy, we chose the latter. On a totally unrelated matter, here are a couple polaroids of Victoria from Saturday.

Busy Busy Busy
Let me start off by apologizing for the lack of posts. I have been extremely busy lately and quite frankly am exhausted. But not too exhausted to post a couple shots of Sana I took this afternoon. Check out more images here! I have 4 shoots this week so look for more frequent updates as the week progresses. On a musical note (pun intended), we went to a great show the other night in Prospect Park to see Cold War Kids, however, I must admit, Elvis Perkins totally stole the show. Thanks to Brett for the last minute heads up!

Google This!
So I'm bored. My flight going back to NYC is delayed so I'm sitting at Starbucks, or as I call it now "4 bucks" because everything costs, you guessed it, 4 bucks! You're so smart!!! (all credit to Courtney Robertson). I decided to list some of the Google searches that resulted in a direct link to my journal, (and you thought I wouldn't find out). Some are logical, some are creepy, and some just don't make sense. So here ya go!
Why shoot up Robitussin
Rap for nerds graphs
Rothenberger wasted
Smells at the beach NJ
Karl karma (my personal favorite)
Why do I look exhausted
Sack sexy
Black people from Connecticut
Rothenberger action
Photography of bulls and bears

So according to this, I'm a nature photographer, who is addicted to cough medicine, a little nerdy, works way too hard but enjoys an occasional drink or 3 at the Jersey shore, who may or may not be a racist. . . . . . . . Well, apart from that last one, yeah, I'd say that's about right.

Go VFW Post 9267's?!!!
Last night was my nephew Erik's T-Ball game. When I showed up I asked what was their team name? He pointed to his shirt. "The VFW Post 9267's?" Doesn't really roll off the tongue, let's just call them the Green Cubs. Erik played great and got the game ball!!! (Takes after his uncle no doubt.) He also got a Capri-sun which made me jealous. T-Ball was fun, everybody bats and no one can make an out, no real life lessons learned but then again they're 6. I did exhibit my influence however. Let's just say if you hear the chant "We want a batter, not a broken ladder." in the Village of Westmont? Yeah, that's all me.

Pretty Good Company
I was recently placed into the photographer section of the industry website supermodel.nl. You can find me just below Juergen Teller and right next to Patrick Demarchelier, not bad company if you ask me.

Movietime
So we took the kids to see "Kung Fu Panda" yesterday. It was my nephew Karl's first time at a movie theater and he was a little overwhelmed but very well-behaved. He did get a little scared when the lights went out and asked if I could hold him, so we watched the movie with him atop my knee. That kid is so cute, "How was the movie Karl (nephew)?" "Funny, but a little scary." Hey! That's what people said about my beard!!!

Fluffernutter
My regression into a 7 year old is nearly complete. The other day I ate 2 peanut butter and fluff sandwiches for lunch, (I'm a health nut what can I say). And yesterday, again I noticed that the only people on the flight to Chicago watching Family Guy were myself and the two guys sitting across the aisle from me, (I use the term "guys" loosely, they were about 10 and 12 years old). Now I discovered my niece Laurens' "To Do" list. Pretty much identical to my own, (except I usually take a nap after "lunch" and before the second "play a lot".
