Embracing Change
Photographers use film. Not anymore. I can honestly say I don't know a single photographer that uses film. You can even buy digital throw-away cameras at Walgreens now. I may be dating myself with this statement but I actually used film when I began shooting 5 years ago. In such a short period of time I had to change the whole way I thought about shooting and completely overhaul the equipment I used and how I thought about creating images. I was reluctant at first, but upon a recent trip to the Cooper Hewitt museum here in NYC that reluctance changed to embrace. The exhibition presented the Best in Design over the past 3 years. Most all of the designs that were on exhibit there utilized computers in their creation, even to the point of having computer software actually create the art with no human interaction whatsoever. (processing.org). Now, I will still be behind the camera on all of my shoots, but you will begin to see more computer enhanced images as the weeks and months progress. (See Alona below)
